Thoughts

Not much to report,
again,
around here.

Blake's internship interviews are going well
and will continue for the next week or so.
We should know something in the next couple of weeks
as to where he will be interning this summer.
We are confident that the Lord is in control of our future
and everything will work out just the way it is supposed too
but it is still nerve racking to just ......
wait!

He is studying his tiny hinny off for all of his test
this week and next.
(if you are reading this right now say a BIG prayer
for his 3 o'clock thermo test today!)
I am so proud of him for the time and effort
he has put in thus far.
We knew this was not going to be easy
but I don't think either one of us fathomed it
being as difficult as it has shown to be!

Our church is doing a series right now
that has really hit close to home for Blake and I.
It is called Christian Atheist- - -
meaning you say you are a christian but you do not live like one.

Last week was week 2 of the series
and focused on worry.
The bible states very simply
that those who worry
do not stand firm with the Lord.
That could not be further from the truth for Blake and I,
so we have spent this week really focusing on leaning on the Lord
and giving all of our troubles to him
instead of worrying about them ourselves!

This series could not have come at a better time for us!
We are so thankful to have found this church,
and are so blessed by all that we are learning from it.
(If you ever happen to find yourself in Lubbock, Texas
you MUST go to Experience Life.
The pastor, Chris Galanos,
is a young (28),
wonderful pastor with an undying love for the Lord that is contagious!)

This weekend will mark my first ever
Big XII football experience.
We are not planning to attend the game
as Tech is VERY proud of their team;
ie) tickets are $150 a piece!!!!!!
Sorry folks, but I don't care about Big XII or Tech to pay that
(although it would be nice to root for a winning team for a change!)

We will definitely attend the tailgate for multiple reasons.
1. the weather is too pretty not to enjoy being outside
(it's been low 50's only reaching high 70's)
2. I want to see what Big XII tailgating is all about
(even though nothing on earth is better than the Grove)
3. Blake is on the external affairs committee for SPE
which means he helps with the set up and break down of the tailgate
4. he needs a study break

Well folks,
that's about all that's going on around here.
We are busier than ever these days
but not busy doing anything fun or exciting
unfortunately.
Oh well,
3 years
and we will look back and be SO thankful for this journey.

Come and see us!
