RHETT turns 5

My little, well big,
buddy turned 5 yesterday
and what a great day he had!

RHETT loves colder weather so lucky for him
it snowed on Monday!

So he spent his birthday (Tuesday)
at the park laying in and eating the snow that hadn't yet melted!

And he finished the day
with a peanut butter, carrott cupcake!

Winter Blizzard 2013

We woke up Monday morning with lots of snow on the ground
and lots of snow blowing out of the sky!

It was called a blizzard because although we only got 4" of snow
it was accompanied by 50mph winds!
What else is new out here!?!

It was beautiful
and to make the day even better Tech cancelled all classes for the day Monday
and until 11am on Tuesday!

So it was a snow day with my favorite boys!
(and a well needed break for Blake).

The "twins" have never seen snow.
There was a little hesitation to get them out the door
but then they were going crazy.
Boone couldn't get enough of it;
he chased it for hours and hours and hours.
Crockett loved it to
but couldn't understand why he was sinking!

Morning at the park
So fun but SOOO cold
Loving the cold weather and eating snow!
Boone ready to go home after playing
Right in his element
Poor Crockett was freezing whenever he wasn't running around
The boys after the park. They looked like this for hours!!
Our house
backyard
Had to get a picture of myself!
Can't have snow and not make snow ice cream!

This storm also was so bizarre
because it was 65 degrees Sunday!
I took 2 long walks in a sleeveless top
and then a mere 12 hours later
I couldn't put enough clothes on.

I've decided Mother Nature is bipolar.
That's the only explanation for this year's weather.

As quickly as the storm blew in,
it blew out!
This was the view of the park yesterday (Tuesday).
Everything melted so quickly
because the temperature yesterday was 51 degrees!

And today (Wednesday),
you can barely tell there was ever snow!!

20 weeks and growing =)

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 20 Weeks

Size of baby: About the size of a mango
(6.5-7 inches long, 10 ounces)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 13 pounds as Thursday (2/21)

Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants except the occasional stretchy regular pants and half and half on maternity tops.

Gender: Will know July 2013

Movement: Sporadically and not near as often as I’d like

Sleep: Sleeping okay.  Have to go to the bathroom often and going back to sleep isn’t so easy b/c I can’t seem to get comfortable.  My mom radar is definitely on as well b/c every time one of the animals even breaths loudly, I’m up and out of the bed!

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach, the occasional drink and sushi this week!

Cravings: Chocolate and anything sweet

Symptoms: my stomach is getting large and in the way, ha!

Best Moment this week: We get to see our precious baby on Wednesday, Blake’s birthday! I can’t think of a more wonderful birthday present for us both than that!! We cannot wait to meet it and kiss it’s sweet face!!!

Much Needed Lazy Weekend

A few weekends ago
we had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at home.

It was glorious.

TGIF
Saturday morning I woke up wanting french toast so....

Saturday night the weather was perfect with NO wind
so we decided to build a fire in our fire pit!

And you can't have a fire without roasting marshmallows!

Neighborhood watch

Super Bowl Sunday we were still in relax mode
so we stayed home and made delicious poppers.

Looking forward to many more relaxing weekends
with my boys!!
