Well,

I went to my first Big XII tailgate this weekend

and it was definitely no Grove!

But in all seriousness,

it wasn't too bad.

Blake is on the external affairs committee for SPE

so he is in charge of helping with the tailgate.

We hung out at there for awhile

but then I wanted to wander around

and see what tailgating in the Big XII/Tech consist of.

Well folks,

call me naive

but they literally 'tailgate' out here...

who knew!

We didn't go to the game

because Tech somehow finds it appropriate

to charge $150 per ticket.

Yes,

Blake gets a free student ticket.

However, it requires him to sit in the student section

and it would be a snow day in hell before that happens

so we just did some tailgating.

While wandering around,

we stopped by to see this guy.....

My brother from another mother!

And the Green boys!!

Such a good day for being outside

and seeing old friends!

Apparntly,

it is Tech tradition to wrap the horse

for every home game (win or lose).

The horse is located at the main entrance of campus

and rumor has it that the horses backend faces College Station!

On the way back to the SPE tailgate

we were stopped

so the players could get from the field house

to the stadium.

For those who are curious,

Tuberville is trying to get a

"Walk of Champions"

type atmosphere

but it is not catching on very quickly.
