Blake and I had a wonderful evening tonight
checking things off of our Fall Bucket List!
We headed out to Atl' Do Farms
which is about 15 minutes outside of Lubbock
for some fall fun.
They had tons of things that we enjoyed.
We were the only people there without children, ha!
But that's okay.
It will be soon enough
where we will be chasing kids around
and doing everything that they want to do,
so we are enjoying fun things that we want to do
while we can actually enjoy them!
They had a few farm animals
that were the most people friendly animals
I've ever been around.
The pigs couldn't get enough of BEG....
everytime he'd stop petting him he would oink like crazy
and head butt the fence, ha!
Cute little goat
And sheep
And this cow was crazy....
Wouldn't stop mooing, started peeing while being pet
and would chew on the fence when you stopped petting her!
They had a hayride that took us out to a
pumpkin patch.
Ready for our hayride!
Pumpkin Patch....
They planted 30,000 pumpkins in September
and there were fields and fields of pumpkins
You could pick your own pumpkin for $1
so we were sure to pick the perfect one!
Pulling it off the vine
Cleaning it up
Our cute little handpicked
pumpkin!
Then for another $1
we decided to try the Corn Cannon;
hysterical.
This thing was extremely loud
and shot the corn way further than one would think.
We got 3 shots.
I hit the Free Drink sign 2 x's
but somehow never got my free drink,
boo.
We then headed over to the Corn Maize
which was fantastic.
This year's maize was
none other than Lubbock's own
Buddy Holly.
Each year the maize is different
but somehow related to Lubbock or Tech.
We were a bit confused on which way to go
so we stopped to enjoy the sunset!
Woo Hoo,
we found our way out!
(and good thing b/c it was starting to get cold
and I forgot my jacket at home and had to borrow Blake's)
I hope y'all are enjoying the cooler fall weather as much as we are!
It snowed here on Thursday
which was a nice reminder how cold it gets here so
we definitely are trying to cram in as much outside time as we can
before we are stuck indoors all winter.
BEG is headed to Denver tomorrow morning for a SPE conference.
It is low of 20's high of 50's there
and he can have it!
I am not ready for winter just yet....
Hope everyone has a nice, relaxing weekend.
