Weekend Recap - July 7-8

Last weekend we headed back to the big city,
aka Salt Lake City,
for some "real" food and entertainment
and to find shoes for my bridesmaid dress for Lauren's wedding.

We ended up with no shoes,
full bellies,
a Clarisonic face brush,
a bed from Restoration Hardware
and a smaller checking account...
typical, right?!?

First stop,
The Cheesecake Factory.
We ate entirely too much food
but it was absolutely delicious.

We started with the avocado egg rolls,
Blake got the salmon salad,
I got the shrimp and angel hair pasta
and we topped it off with cheesecake of course.
Blake got the Tuxedo
(which is to die for)
and I got the Snickers.
We asked for a patio seat so our little furry buddy could join us!
(He loves their wheat bread but who doesn't)
 Stop 2,
the new City Creek Mall. It's a high-end mall that is outdoors
(it actually has a top that slides over in the winter to make it an indoor mall!)
It was actually the same stop as The Cheesecake Factory
is in the mall too!

Again,
we loved this activity as RHETT got to join us for the day.
enjoying the light spray from the water fountain
We wandered around the mall till about 3pm
and then headed over to Park City to check out the Olympic Park.
It was really cool to see
as this is where the American Olympic athletes actively train
for the Winter Olympics.
the bobsled course
 After Olympic Park,
we went and wandered around Main Street.
It's such a cute little, quaint town
that we really enjoy.
We stopped at Yuki Asahari
for some much craved sushi
and it was delicious!

We had a great Saturday
and managed to wear this guy out....

We woke up Sunday
and headed out to do some fly fishing.

RHETT loves to hang his head out in the mountains
as the temps are about 10 degrees cooler than in town.

We went to Jones Hole to go fishing

the views getting there were beautiful

There was a very peaceful creek running
along the trail.

We didn't stay long.
The trail was an hour from the house
and once we got there
they had signs all over saying that no dogs were allowed!

Obviously we couldn't leave RHETT in the car
so we made a quick loop around
and came right back.

It was a great weekend
but we are definitely ready to get home!!
