Month Two

We haven't been nearly as busy in month two
and for that we are very thankful!

But MaeMargaret has been VERY busy growing!

She is really starting to get a personality
and it is so much fun to see.

She smiles,
makes all kinds of squeaks and coos
and has found that her hands can grab hold of things!

She is raising her little head up good
and has very strong legs that she uses to push up and "stand".

Week 6-7 was pretty rough
as she was diagnosed with slight colic and reflux
but with the meds we are on the mend
and finally sleeping better,
thank goodness!

She actually has started sleeping 11 hours at night;
it's been wonderful
but she is not a big napper
but I'd rather her sleep at night!

Here are some pictures of the beauty lately:

11#4oz of pure chunky love!

It's been so much fun
and getting better by the day...

Big News

We are so excited
and are looking forward to this exciting new chapter in our lives!

We are so blessed Blake has a job
and thrilled MaeMargaret will grow up knowing how to ski.

If you ever find yourself in Colorado,
look us up;
we love visitors!

4 Generations

We stopped in Abilene for lunch on the way home from Houston
and Blake's Papa met us at his parents so he could meet his 1st great grandchild!

Daddy's Girl

It has been so much fun to watch these 2 together;
they are so in love!

From the second she was born
she has had her daddy wrapped right around her tiny finger...
and he knows it!

Month One

MaeMargaret is the most well traveled one month old ever,
no doubt about it.

I was really struggling without Blake here
(he was completing his internship with Anadarko in the Woodlands)
and decided the best decision for our little family
was to join him down there.
So MM and I hitched a ride with my good friend
and headed to Houston at 2 weeks old!!!
(along with her 4 year old, 2 year old and 3 month old...it was quite a ride!)

She traveled like a champ;
slept the entire 9.5 hours except when I woke her up to eat at stops.
We stayed for 10 days and at 3 weeks old headed back home.

We rode with CC
(who Blake was living with for the summer)
who was on her way to Abilene to see her daughter
and she did great again, only waking 2 times to eat.

Lou Lou came and stayed with us Sunday-Thursday.
We had a rough few days and appreciated the help.
Between the travel, growth spurts and just getting adapted to the world
MM was NOT happy for 3 days/nights.
She screamed and screamed and screamed
but thankfully it passed
and we had our beautiful, happy baby back!

Lou Lou dropped us off at the airport on Thursday
and MM took her first plane ride at 4 weeks old to go see Daddy again!
She slept 80% of the way and woke up as we were landing.
She was so quite when she did wake up
and was mesmerized by all the lights, people, etc.

So as you can see her first 30 days of life have been busy!

She is growing like a weed,
eating lots
and sleeping okay.

We love her so much
and can't remember or imagine
life without her in it!
